Adopt a horse

Horses don't have to be bought from a breeder and definitely not from an auction. Many rescue organizations have perfectly healthy and performance-ready horses up for adoption to a good home. Also, a companion horse may just be what your other horse or own soul needs. Companion horses can be great partners who are thankful and loving. One may call them beautiful pasture ornaments.

Rescue organizations also provide great guidance for first-time horse owners, often offering horsemanship classes and more ...

  • Honest report about health, behavior and performance-ability
  • Organizations have a good reputation
  • Guaranteed fit and match
  • Take-backs without a problem
  • Low adoption fees, often starting at $100 - $500

"What is the difference between a horse and a steer and a hog?
The horse is an icon along with the bald eagle.  What is the difference between a bald eagle and a pigeon or a turkey?  And if you do not know the difference, we cannot explain it to you."
