Concerning the bill shut down in Texas in Spring 2003 which would have made horse slaughter for human consumption legal in Texas. The Belgian and French horse slaughter plants, which are established against state law in Kaufman and Ft.Worth, TX were back then the only ones in the US, and are to this day operating under a temporary injunction.
